Pavey Tree is excited to be the first Tree Service Company in Canada to introduce Spiderlift technology, complimenting the skills of our Certified Arborists.

The Spiderlift is a high performance aerial man-lift that was designed for the tree care professional.

Improves Safety, Efficiency, Productivity
Complies with Occupational Health & Safety Act
Becomes more competitive by combining both, tree climbing gear and bucket truck with one unit that is fast, light and nimble
Ability to articulate and telescope at the same time

Compact transport dimensions of:
38 inches wide, 78 inches in height, 20 feet in length
35 feet horizontal reach, 75 feet of working height
6,800 pounds in weight, only 10.15Psi ground pressure

Pavey Tree arborist technicians will be able to better deal with any aerial safety hazards, vista views, pruning and deadwooding, in a safe, productive and efficient manner. This unit can quickly self-unload and is self-propelled. Non-marking rubber tracks are vertically adjustable to travel and work on 30-percent slopes, in confined areas and negotiate our Muskoka landscape.
Many of our High Risk tree removal projects require special attention and innovative techniques to mitigate the safety of our climbers and minimize property damage. This aerial man-lift allows our climbers to access the height of the tree without actually being on the tree.  Other applications are only limited by imagination.  Consider the following:
Alternative to costly scaffold set-up on uneven terrain for construction firms
Facility maintenance – Indoors or Outdoors
Specialized lighting or signage
Christmas lighting on trees
Aerial Photographs of cottage or property
Safe Height Access to campgrounds, campsites, and resorts

We strive to continue our education, and be on the leading edge of industry innovation. This is our livelihood; our careers depend on our expertise gained as we train and prepare for the day we help you.

The Lake of Bays Township has now implemented their new Site Development Policy. This is an innovative policy and will be a model for other municipalities and townships.  The “Vision” is described as:

“The residents of the township of Lake of Bays will nurture and sustain clean water, fresh air, natural shorelines, healthy forests and wetlands that will be the pride of the Province.  We will offer an outstanding combination of economic opportunity, peaceful living and recreation.  This is our dream and legacy for our grandchildren’s children”
*Development Permit System (for waterfront Areas) Handbook Jan. 2, 2006*

“Site Alteration and Vegetation Removal”
Pavey Tree is committed to working with the area residents and the Township of Lake of Bays in regards to the implementation of Section 41 of the Planning Act which now includes site alteration and vegetation removal.  The Development Permit By-Law 04-180 requires that a development permit be obtained prior to undertaking site alteration or vegetation removal within the shoreline “yard”.

This by-law does not affect hazardous, dead or dangerous trees.  It can influence the number of trees or vegetation removed, as well as the amount of pruning done to a site.  As Certified Arborists we can help determine the extent of work required, confirm with the Chief Building Official and suggest that a development permit for vegetation removal be obtained for a fee of $75.00 payable to the Township of Lake of Bays.

For more information regarding the Lake of Bays Development Policy please refer to www.lakeofbays.on.ca or Contact the Township offices at 705-635-2272.

We have included a new style of portable winch for low impact skidding of logs. By the use of Lake-Ice anchors we are able to winch logs off islands or mainland and onto the lake ice.
As well, this winch can be anchored atop of hillsides to retrieve logs felled close to the shoreline or boathouse and brought uphill.
