Phil Pavey has been a
resident on the Lake of Bays for over 25 years. As an ISA Certified
Arborist and Forest Technician, his intuitive thinking and skilled
aptitude was generated early by working
with a national tree service company, to employment with the Ontario
Ministry of Natural Resources as Operations Manager and Assistant Park
Superintendent to the designing, construction, and pioneering of trail
management techniques. His experience has led to innovative, low-impact
tree felling techniques and high-angle climbing and rigging. Phil
continues working with wood once its on the ground; building as a
certified carpenter for 15 years. |

Dylan Stevenson |

Dylan is a Humber College graduate of the arboriculture apprenticeship program, and an Ontario Certified Arborist. He has completed several “Arbormaster Training Courses” and welcomes the continued learning opportunities that Pavey Tree provides. He has been working well with Muskoka Crane in the various crane removals. This year saw Dylan compete for the first time at the Ontario Tree Climbing Competition in Niagara Falls. He looks forward to challenging Dan in the near future, and is confident that he will obtain his ISA Certification. He is a native to Huntsville and enjoys the outdoors and all that it has to offer. He has taken on new heights and enjoyment in learning and participating in rock climbing. |

Ben Sauvé is a refreshing new staff member of Pavey Tree. His knowledge and experience gained by being a student and then as staff at Summit College interested him in the outdoors and the Arboriculture industry. Ben has enjoyed the outdoor pursuits of rock climbing, hiking, and now tree climbing. He is enrolled in the Arboriculture Program at Fleming College and looks forward to his continued learning. He is married to Kathy, and together they enjoy the lifestyle that the Algonquin region provides. |
